Citroën has been pro-active in providing its fleet customers with affordable ‘green’ technology. With its advanced HDi diesel engines the company has taken a leading role in raising fuel efficiency to new high levels while reducing CO2 emissions.
Citroën is also one of the very first mainstream manufacturers to offer a 100% electric car, the C-Zero, in its range. Together with this zero emissions car, Citroën offers one of the widest ranges of sub120g/km CO2 emissions cars available to the UK fleet sector with 32 models across a range of fleet car classes.
Citroën also has its new micro-hybrid e-HDi system in a wide range of cars to further improve fuel economy and reduce emission. e-HDi incorporates Citroën’s advanced Euro 5 HDi diesel engine, Stop & Start and EGS automated manual gearbox.
Later in 2011 the DS5 will be launched - the first Citroën model with HYbrid4 diesel hybrid technology, providing enhanced performance and class leading environmental credentials. The HYbrid4 system delivers 200bhp; four-wheel drive capability; emission-free electric power for city driving; and an acceleration boost function for the open road - with total CO2 emissions of just 99g/km.
